Description
Carbonating Corny Keg Lid with Carb Stone – Carbonator
Carbonate your homemade beer or wine fast, easy, and cost effectively with the carbonating keg lid!
One of the easiest and most cost effective ways to carbonate your homemade beer and wine, in a short amount of time! This lid is a standard Cornelius (Corny) keg lid with a built-in carb stone. Move the lid from keg to keg to carb as needed. The setup allows you to force carbonate quickly using the attached 0.5-micron carb/diffusion stone. To used, simply place the lid onto your corny keg and seal. Next, hook up your gas line ball lock quick disconnect to the included ball lock fitting, and voila! The beer will start carbonating.
Steps to Use
The carbonating lid is super easy to use. First however, make sure your homebrew is between 34-40F. After the beer has reached the target temp, follow these steps:
- Sanitize the carb stone by placing in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Sanitize the keg lid itself, and then place onto your desired corny keg.
- Set the PSI on your regulator to 3-4 PSI and attach your gas line to the ball lock fitting on the top of the lid.
- Raise the pressure 2 PSI per hour, until you reach 12 PSI. Leave at 12 PSI for a minimum of 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, pour yourself a pint (why not, you’ve worked hard!) and test the carbonation level. If more is needed, leave the carbonating lid and gas line attached for another 6 hours. Test again and the beer should be perfectly carbonated!
